Quilting

I really love quilting, I have quite a few done, but unfortunately most that I have done are for people I blog with so I can't post pictures of them until I give them away. But here are a few of my quilts I've been working on.

This one is for my good friend. (she doesn't blog)

I made this one for my Dad for Father's Day. It has pictures of my sister and I when we where little.

This is the scripture quilt that our ward has been working on. I've done a few of these, I really enjoy doing them.

Relatively few can sing their love and friendship unless they do it on some special day.

But now I want to tell you your a awesome person, a great friend. What a blessing you are in so many lives. I also would like you to know that even though I may not say it too you all the time, I'm always thinking it!

Happy Forth Too All!

To celebrate today Annabelle and I headed to the Fort Warden near Port Towsend ( same place they filmed Officer and Gentleman ). The water was a bit chilly but Annabelle had no problems getting in. She made some awesome sand castles. They have a small museum that the kids could make T-shirts. But ok, it was WAY gross! They used real dead fish as stamps. She just painted on them then pressed her shirt on it. The end product was cute... but um, not something I would d0 at home.

Fort Warden has some old bunkers that you can explore, a really cool place for hide and seek, or paint ball wars ( not that I play paint ball). Annabelle and I used flash lights to explore. Then she took some pictures on my camera of some flowers she really liked.

Tonight we lit some fire works ( they are legal in WA). For a moment I felt I was right back in LA, all of the fire works going off it sounded like a war zone. I'm sure they are going to be going off all night. Happy Forth if July too you all!

Too many animals!

When I got here my darling daughter had 2 front teeth that need to be pulled. After all 3 adults wrestled her down kicking and screaming we got it! As a treat I told her she could go to the Zoo today. I had invited my good friend Woodine and MaryP to come with us. Annabelle and I had a great time. All the animals where out and the weather was great. My favorite was the Walrus's... they had great personality.

It was about 2 pm when we headed to the car. Ripe time for naps all around. Hoping that Annabelle would fall asleep Woodine and I talked quietly on the hour car ride home. About 30min from home, out of no where a large wolf/ coyote came running across front of my car. And yes I hit him. Heart racing, I pulled over to call 911, and accessed the damage. I got out of the car to make sure nothing had happened. The car looked almost perfect. So we started on our way. We could not figure out why our air conditioner was no longer blowing cold air when the engine light started to flash and the temperature on the car started to peek way too high. I pulled over and turned off the car. The wonderful weather I had been so pleased with before stared to make the car feel like a baking oven. Annabelle and , started to get restless. Turns out the poor guy I ran over did more damage than thought.
But our rescue was quick in coming and everyone made it home safe. Oh... I'm way tired, but thankful to be safe.
