Obeying Orders

A few months ago Jason came home and told me that he had asked for an extension. ( he wanted to stay in NY until June of next year) About 3 weeks ago he had been told there was a high chance of getting shipped to Iraq for a 6 month tour. None of this was I thrilled about, and spent many a night on my knees asking for a favorable outcome.
This morning I woke up to him talking on the phone to the detailer about his extension. Turns out his command never submitted the extension or the orders to Iraq to the detailer, and so it was not approved. (or they got lost)

I heard Jason also explain to him that he really wanted Washington, that our daughter there and we are fighting to get her returned to us.

But unfortunately his only choices now where:
Virgina on the USS Enterprise or

San Deigo on the USS Reagan.

And we would be leaving in October of this year.
Jason told him he needed to talk to me and would call him back shortly. He hung up the phone and came up stairs to let me know what was going on. We both decided it would be better for us to get SD so that I could get direct flights to Seattle. I asked him what the chances where to get Bremerton after we moved to SD, he said we would have to wait 2 years and then hope something came open. As he left the room I got out of bed and started my prayers. I prayed that I would be at peace with the coarse that we were headed, and that all would be well. I heard him hang up, and I quickly finished my prayers. He walked back into the bedroom and said, " I have to go to Virginia for 6 months for school, and then we are going to Bremerton,
I'm not sure what changed in the last 5 min, but it did" Just thought I would share my testimony of the power of prayer.

If we get the house sold this fall/winter, I will move to WA sooner than later. We report to Bremerton on April 12th 2009 on the USS Stennis.

Blue Screens

I hope you all remember the post on the wonders of a new computer. I take it all back. Last week our new computer started to act weird, For example: I would try and download software and a little box would pop up saying i didn't have permission because I wasn't an administrator. Well that's odd because it says I am... a day later I tried again, and this time the little box said I didn't have Windows Installer Installed.. that i should reinstall Window Installer. What a min here, You want time to reinstall something when I don't have a working insulators.. I love little boxes! So bottom line we took it into Best Buy to find out what was going on. Our friendly Geek Squad Man(typed really quickly ) looked at our comp and said "oh this is real simple, give me 10mn and come back", Well when we wandered back He informed me that it had "blue screened". What?? " It's the blue screen of death" he replied. "you might want to order a new computer, let me check if we have any ( typing really fast on another computer) Oh, well this model ( that we got on 3/15) is out of date, they no longer make these computers, Sorry" So what do we do? We went over to the computer section and found something very similar, when talking to the sales associate he explained that Vista was the issue. That if you download programs like OpenOffice ( J needed for something) Vista looks at it as a threat to Microsoft. And on your next update Vista will tell Microsoft that we downloaded foreign software, and that they should take action ( locking our administration actions, Then taking installer away) So basically Microsoft does like competition.. Eggrr. We ordered a brand new comp so I'm typing this on the old dinosaur.

Skate Land

It's spring break out here for the kids, and Belle and I went skating today. It was great fun and a great workout. I suggest it if your getting bored with the treadmill.
She seemed to be on her bottom more than her skates. I took all of these pictures while on skates. I didn't fall once. Yea me!
We had gotten a snow cone. And Belle's response was " well Mom its ice and ice is just frozen water so this has to be good for you." Funny girl. ( that's a temporary tattoo on her arm)
