Shampoo Debate

I believe without a doubt shampoo and conditioner are one of those things that you get what you pay for. However I'm wondering if it's just a state of mind. If I think the more expensive shampoo will make me look better, of course I will. I try using the cheaper brands, and the texture just isn't the same. I love my shampoo and conditioner. It's $15 a bottle and every time I pay for a new bottle I have the Shampoo Debate. I do have to say years ago when the dollar store was my Macy's, I found a shampoo that I loved ( for a dollar a bottle). What do you use, and do you agree?

Good thing I still do my own hair :)

Great pictures! I really like Aveda shampoo but rarely get it. It just seems so expensive. I have been getting a shampoo by John Frieda from Target or even the grocery store. It is about eight dollars a bottle, so I don't feel quite as bad about it! I do think you get a better shampoo for more money though!

I would avoid the extremes on both ends.. don't pay $1 a bottle, but also avoid the way over priced stuff too! Aveda is about as expensive as I'd go... I buy it once in awhile ~ but usually go for the stuff you can buy at the Salon inside Walmart like Bed Head, Rusk, Biolage - I am not brand loyal...

Ha-I love the hair! I totally have pictures like that. Um, I'm a cheep-o when it comes to hair stuff (and, unfortunately I think it shows). I do think you get what you pay for.

Cute pictures. I don't have enough hair to worry about the brand of shampoo I use. I did have a favorite once but they don't make it anymore. It was Banana Shampoo from The Body Shop.

We cosmatology student come to an enrichment meeting for our ward and she told us that there are a couple of decent "grocery store" brands. She mentioned Thermaskilk. I really liked it...when I dried my hair, which is next to never. I buy great big bottles of Hebal Essence that smell like coconut and lavender. It remindes me of summer and coconut oil at the beach. It seems to work fine. Maybe if my hair were more tempramental I would care more. Because of my sensitive skin my dermatologist recommended that I only take a bath every other day, which means my hair gets the same treatment.
